CPCAB Fast Track to Level 3
From beginner to Level 3 in just 5 months!
If you’re looking to get started and progress to Level 4 in the quickest possible way, our CPCAB Fast Track to Level 3 course is the perfect choice.
This intensive, 4-5 month blended course is designed to prepare you to start Level 4 (the last step to becoming a counsellor) immediately upon completion. This course is available at our in-person centres and is not available for online study.
This course achieves its speed by combining all content from Level 2 and Level 3 into a single, intensive programme. You will cover all the material from both levels, but upon completion, you will be awarded the CPCAB Level 3 Certificate only.
This route does not award the Level 2 certificate. This makes it the perfect choice for students whose primary goal is to qualify for Level 4 in the fastest possible time, but it is not suitable for those who need both separate certificates for other applications (such as a Master’s degree – if you require this, we recommend taking a look at our Online Level 2+3 Accelerated Courses).
While the pace is fast, the experience is still transformative. You will be fully immersed in the profound, life-changing skill of active listening, learning to build stronger relationships and navigate difficult situations with confidence and empathy.
It’s important to note that this course demands a substantial commitment. It involves a lot of work, and you need to be prepared to fully engage with the intensive material. You will, however, be fully supported by our experienced tutors every step of the way.
You’ll get 10 days of live, in-person teaching and 3 days of live online teaching, full access to our accompanying course videos, workbooks, and additional live online seminars to further develop your skills.
Upon successful completion, you’ll be fully prepared and qualified to enrol in our Level 4 courses, allowing you to continue your journey to becoming a practising counsellor in the shortest possible time.

Our Level 2 & 3 Fast-Track program is an accelerated pathway that combines the essential stages of your counselling training. This seamless course is designed to rapidly build your skills, taking you from the core principles of support to the practical competencies of a professional.
The program is built on our integrated model of therapy. We believe that adaptable counsellors are the most effective, so you won’t be limited to a single ‘one-size-fits-all’ method. Instead, you’ll explore a variety of key counselling theories – including person-centred, psychodynamic, and CBT – giving you the flexibility to meet the unique needs of your future clients.
Your journey begins by developing a foundational ‘therapeutic toolkit’, mastering how to support others safely. The course then quickly progresses, teaching you to foster real change by exploring topics like reframing and client readiness. You’ll also learn to navigate the professional side of the role, mastering ethical practice, client contracting, setting boundaries, and knowing when to make referrals.
This intensive program gives you a solid understanding of common mental health problems and introduces you to the vital role of clinical supervision. By completing this fast-track course, you will gain the comprehensive skills and robust foundation required to advance directly to your Level 4 studies.

How you’ll earn your qualification
Your route to BACP accreditation!
The great thing about undertaking a CPCAB course is that it’s recognised nationally and focused on helping you become the best counsellor you can be!
CPCAB courses are recognised by BACP (the UK’s leading counselling membership body), so the 90 formal learning hours you pick up on the course will count towards the 450 minimum hours of training required for membership. Membership of an organisation like BACP (or equivalent body) is vital if you wish to become a respected counsellor and work for organisations such as the NHS.
To pass the course, you must prove competence in various key counselling skills and theories. This is primarily assessed practically as you progress through the course – the tutor will gain evidence through observing you demonstrating the skills as you undertake exercises and practical sessions. In addition, during the course, you will complete regular exploration of your learning, undertake a self-review of your own learning, give feedback and write short essays. These are also used to gain evidence of your competence.
Once you have demonstrated your competence and passed your assessments, you will obtain your level 3 qualification.
